2020/2021 Year-Long Appreciation Campaign
Most parents know of Teacher Appreciation Week as the week in May when you send in a note, flowers or a gift to show gratitude for teaching your child all year long. While we love this tradition, we want to show this appreciation for the full school year and support our teachers and their hard work to keep schools open and provide a nurturing and safe in-person and remote learning environments for our students.
We can help show our gratitude for our teachers with small gestures throughout the year. Items such as breakroom coffee, snacks and fruit baskets, teacher food-truck days, words of appreciation from our families, teacher supplies and more will help keep teachers happy and show our support. We will be surveying our teachers to find out their preferences and ideas.
Because regular PTO fundraisers have largely been postponed for this school year, your contributions will help us to establish the program and fund the appreciation efforts for the school year, and beyond! Here are some ideas of what a year-long teacher appreciation program could include (PCSD and health department guidelines permitting):
-"Appreciation Station" with break-room coffee, snacks and fruit baskets to be refreshed throughout the year
-Teacher food truck days or gift cards to local restaurants
-Gift cards or onsite wellness activities
-Teacher supplies beyond the essentials
- Other ideas presented by teachers or families!
As a non-profit we rely solely on fundraising and volunteers to sustain PTO Programs. We raised an incredible $2,795 during the Park City Education Foundation "Live PC, Give PC" fundraiser. These funds will be used to sustain the program and support teachers and staff for the 2020/2021 school year and beyond.
